The mission is to strive in all ways possible to relieve the physical, emotional and spiritual pain brought on by a life-threatening illness with the highest level of integrity. The mission of Hospice in the Pines is a labor of love willingly undertaken by the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers.
For Patients and Families
Hospice in the Pines is staffed with exceptional bereavement professionals and licensed Master’s level personnel who are able to provide quality counseling services. Hospice in the Pines hosts monthly grief support groups and facilitates multiple programs specifically devoted to end of life care.

Exceptional Facilities
Our in-patient medical facility provides continuous skilled care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It offers plenty of reserved parking and comfortable living areas for both patients and families. Each room is completely furnished and wheelchair accessible.
For patients and families traveling to the Lufkin area for medical services, our Joe W. Elliott House facility provides inexpensive lodging with comfortable private rooms – and is also fully staffed 7 days a week.
